	About Us HappyLand Day Camp, owned and operated by Tricia & Marc Rosenthal and Daryl Helfman, has been serving WNY familes for 40 years. HappyLand is co-directed by Tricia and Daryl. At HappyLand we provide a quality program of activities for children under the supervision of mature, competent staff in a safe, healthy and fun atmosphere. Our camp is an outdoor-based program allowing children a full range of summertime enjoyment from; daily Swimming and Swim Lessons, Arts & Crafts, Nature, Music and Outdoor Recreation & Sports. Children also enjoy our weekly themes, guest entertainment, and our Wednesday cook outs, each of which keep the camp ever changing and stimulating. Our programs are designed to meet the needs of children ages 3 to 10 years of age. In addition to our regular program, children ages 3 to 5 can start in our pre-school program, three days a week, M, W, F. HappyLand Philosophy HappyLand Day Camp is a camp the promotes self-esteem, cooperation, and a sense of caring for others. The goals of the Camp are the help children learn new skills, gain self-confidence, and have fun in a friendly, relaxed environment. The counselors encourage the campers to do their personal best without creating a competitive environment. Our goal is to ensure that each child learns useful athletic and interpersonal skills, develops new interests and makes new friends. A child is a parent's most precious possession. At HappyLand we understand this. Our camp is actively supervised by a professional staff, some of whom have been with us for years. Our staff of instructor, counselors and assistant counselors make up our excellent staff-to-camper ratio of 1 to 5. Lastly, we strive to provide a summer camp experience that will impress upon the camper the importance of friendship, independence and cooperation. A summer at HappyLand is intended to be an experience where campers learn new skills, sharpen old ones, build lasting friendships and enjoy nature all in a preserved environment. HappyLand's Assitant Director and Programming Specialist HappyLand’s assistant director and programming specialist is Tracy Dziedzina began her career at HappyLand as a counselor and was quickly eager to become more of an integral part of our planning in the off-season as well. She holds her BA in psychology and her Masters of Education. Tracy is certified to teach Pre-K through 6th grade in New York State and has been teaching for 6 years. She currently teaches pre-K for Holy Cross Head Start, but has a wide range of experience working with children of all ages in various settings. Tracy has previous camp experience as a counselor and as a supervisor at a local day camp. In the past Tracy has led Girl Scout troops for grades 1-3 and a troop for grades 4-6 and currently leads a cadette group for grades 6-8. For a year and a half, she traveled with Norwegian Cruise Lines as a youth counselor aboard their ships working with children ages 2-17. It is truly a passion of hers to provide children with activities that are enjoyable and engaging. “There’s nothing better than watching children create memories that will last a lifetime”.
